We are witnessing the "rape of Europe" before our eyes. What was the European dream for many generations of European politicians is disappearing, and what politicians they were! Its ideological foundation after the war was laid by Robert Schuman, Jean Monnet, Winston Churchill, Charles de Gaulle, Konrad Adenauer, Paul-Henri Spaak and others. In 1962, Harold Macmillan, addressing the Prime Ministers of the Commonwealth, spoke of the deep disappointment of those present that now the main task in Britain was European integration.

Neo-totalitarianism or Boring mistakes of the century

A. Bystritsky, D. Shusharin

The background to the economic crisis and confusion that prevails in the world is a profound social and political crisis. Its manifestations are simple and clear: the fall of the intellectual level of the ruling elite, the disruption of civil society, and the erosion of the values on which it is based. The drama, however, applies to all other societies. There is no doubt that the "Arab Spring" symbolized the crisis in the traditional Arab-Muslim world.

Determinants of contemporary Russian Arctic strategy

L. Voronkov

Over the last decade, the situation in the Arctic has changed dramatically. For a long time it remained little known, poorly managed and harshly remote, a situation which is not very interesting to the international community of countries.
