Alexander Botan-Kharchenko. Kosovo at the danger line. On the false attitudes of the West and the lack of alternatives to genuine dialogue

In recent weeks, the situation in northern Kosovo has become extremely tense. The Serbs are forced to defend themselves from the aggressive arbitrariness of the self - styled Pristina "authorities", who set out to take control of the Serb-populated northern regions of the province and enclaves south of the Ibar River with the connivance and de facto support of Western curators. For almost a quarter of a century, the Kosovo issue has been a major threat to peace and stability in the Balkans. The root cause is the anti-Serbian charge of the Washington-led collective West: ignoring the legitimate interests of Belgrade and the regional Serbs, indulging the separatist aspirations of Kosovo Albanians in circumvention of international law.

The current political development of the Kingdom of Spain is characterized by extreme instability. A whole series of government crises, fragmentation of political forces, and complex electoral processes have plunged the country, if not into a crisis, then at least into a prolonged political collapse. A key issue in Spain's domestic political life, however, in the last decade is the problem of Catalan separatism.
