and principles enshrined in the U.N. Charter, as well as the generally accepted fundamental stan-
dards of international relations, contribute to the general welfare, stability, and maintain peace
around the world.
Summarizing all the above, we should underline that China and Russia are determined to adhere
to their chosen course of developing friendly relations, regardless of what changes may take
place in the world or what difficulties or impediments may emerge on the way. Chinese-Russian
friendship is rock-solid and will remain forever, as well as the goals of cooperation based on the
principles of mutual benefit and mutual development. We are convinced that a stable, normal
development of relations between China and Russia will inevitably promote the well-being of
the peoples of our two countries.
