This means that the SCO which does not abandon the idea of SCO membership for India, Pak-
istan and Iran will have to cope, in the short-and mid-term perspective, with a very complicated
and non-trivial task of strengthening the nonproliferation regime at the regional level, within its
responsibility zone.
