Integration and intercultural dialogue as the basic goals put forward by the Moldovan gov-
ernment in the Strategy cannot proceed in an environment that is becoming less and less
comfortable for ethnic minorities.
One is only left to hope that the public discussion of the draft Strategy will prove effective
and help eventually make this document more balanced and viable in addressing existing
problems.
