"Golden Collection"

Nouri al-Maliki, the Iraqi Prime Minister

We can only survive by building a single state, a single civil society.
Russia has a long history of relations with Iraq, and I hope that we will establish strong relationships with Russian companies in various industries. Some attribute our visit just to the purchase of weapons. I must say that it is not. We have a variety of objectives, and the purchase of arms is not primary among them.

MULTILATERAL DIPLOMACY
A. Grushko, Russian Permanent Representative to NATO
In the military-political sphere the bloc mentality has not been completely eliminated.
In the Russian-NATO lexicon a special term has been established - "all-weather". It means that, even if we disagree, the dialogue should not be terminated; the consultation mechanism will continue to work "at all times and on all issues." Confidential dialogue on the Nato-Russia Council platform is one of the search tools for constructive solutions to problematic issues, and in enhancing mutual trust.

A. Kelin, Russian Permanent Representative to the OSCE in Vienna
Russia and the OSCE
In 2015, the OSCE will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act, which marked the beginning of a European process and the birth of a new international structure. In Vienna OSCE headquarters began discussions about the past and the future perspectives of the organization. A number of delegations were in favor of raising its role in the changing security situation in the Euro-Atlantic area and return it to the "front line" of international relations. In this regard, I would like to talk about the role of the OSCE in the context of a growing "institutional closeness" in Europe and its place in the arsenal of Russian foreign policy tools.

N. Shkolya. Chairmanship of the "G-twenty", from Mexico to Russia
Since December 2012 Russia has been the leader of the "Group of Twenty", which increases the interest of the world in our country, its conceptual approach, and priorities in the "G-twenty" in the coming period. At the same time, in Russia there is growing interest in learning about the "Group of Twenty," the premises of its formation and future evolution, experience in holding summits in other countries, especially the last one - the Mexican presidency, which we will attempt to meet in this publication.

MOSCOW diplomatic corps.
D. Medoev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia in Russia. 260 years after Ossetia`s first embassy in St. Petersburg.
Medieval Alania – the Alan State, whose descendants are the modern Ossetians, was destroyed by numerous invasions by the Mongol Tartar Golden Horde in the XIII-XIV centuries. Long brutal wars bled the Alans and led the country to a demographic catastrophe.

Russian foreign policy concept. OPINIONS.

R. Grinberg. About a new foreign policy concept for the Russian Federation.

The rapidly changing international situation demands from Russia, flexible and timely responses to new challenges and threats to its security, which arise in the course of the ongoing evolution of the entire system of international relations. At the same time, the Russian Federation itself is in the process of transformation, it has new opportunities for an adequate response to challenges and threats, changing the structure of the interests of its national security, which should be reflected in the new concept of Russian foreign policy.

V. Tretyakov. Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation: a talented play for talented actors.
In fact, I strongly welcome the development of the new concept document. But the concept documents, by definition, should address the fundamental strategic direction of our state.

Yu. Shafranik. Energy and Geopolitics

Today we are witnessing a fundamental change in the situation: the center of oil production is actively shifting to the Western Hemisphere. The new energy axis runs from the Canadian province of Alberta through the U.S. states of North Dakota, and Texas, through Mexico, Venezuela and Brazil.

A. Organisan. The Landscape After the Battle.

Many times in the course of the election campaign in the U.S. it was said that foreign policy and especially Russian-American relations, are not a priority for the U.S. Is this true? In a tense struggle even nuances and shades of political interpretations could be a deciding factor. As for today's America, living in a globalized world, its foreign policy is highly inseparable from the state of the global economy - and this is not a minor detail.

POLICY

V. Batyuk. The Divided States of America
The 57th election campaign for President of the United States of America has just ended. To sum everything up, will take some time. But we can already draw some preliminary conclusions about the state of American society, and the future of American policy, both internal and external.

O. Brykin. Russia - Poland: will it sound of church bells?

In August 2012 the first-ever visit of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill to Poland took place. Every serious politician and researcher in both Russia and Poland cannot but recognize the critical importance of the event. After a connection to the process of rapprochement between Russia and Poland, and between the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church, is a truly unprecedented phenomenon. A radical step towards each other for the future of our people has been made. This fact has not only a religious meaning.

V. Belyakov. Egypt: the birth of the "second republic"
The 30th June this year can be considered the date of birth of the "second republic" in Egypt. On this day, the new President of the country, Mohammed Mursi, was sworn in.

Y. Raykov. East Asia: territorial conflicts or geopolitical contradictions.

The exacerbation this summer of territorial conflicts in East Asia between Japan and China, Japan and South Korea, China and some ASEAN members has significantly complicated the political situation in the Asia-Pacific region, and reminded us of the fragility of peace in this vital area, putting the situation forward, along with the Middle East, to the forefront of world politics.

THE WORLD AROUND US.
I. Kravchenko. The "Jolly Roger" Party.
The Pirate Party of Germany is a new player in German politics, creative, charismatic and original. The Pirates have managed in a short time not only to declare themselves as a real political force, but in general, stimulate discussion about the nature and direction of the development of democracy in the country.

I. Ivahnyuk. Managing labor migration - in search of new approaches.
The search for compromise in international mechanisms to streamline labor migration flows and maximize the potential inherent in it is the basis for discussions on migration, which has increased the intensity of the global economic crisis.

RUSSIAN WORLD

V. Sibilev. The Fourth World Congress of Compatriots Living Abroad
The Fourth World Congress of Compatriots Living Abroad has become a central event in the life of compatriots not only this year, but for the entire three-year period between congresses.

E. Pyadysheva. Conversations on the sidelines
Millions of people, whose roots stem from Russian soil, were called by one word - "compatriots". They are all painted the same color, and turned into something unified and substantial. But this is just a view from the outside. It is hard to imagine more different and contradictory people between themselves who regularly come together for meetings at different levels and on different occasions.
